!!! UNKNOWN CONTENT TYPE !!!
Based on the video, it looks like the car had 1,000hp (claimed). Based on the clip of the guy standing next to the road (get behind the barrier at least), the speed seems reasonable. Although, due to speedo error, my guess is it was probably 180+ in all actuality.
Please note, I’m not congratulating him. This was insanely reckless and he deserves all the bad things that will happen to him.

I did an indicated 140mph in a ‘92 legacy once.
I KNOW it’s a lie as such a speed is impossible with the engine/trans combo it had.
so speedos are a lie :D

someone who thinks its ok to drive 180mph on public roadways deserves to get absolutely fucked by the government in every conceivable way. so yeah search his house and anywhere else the punk hangs out and make sure he can never see a roadway again

Rough day? Response is a bit strong don’t you think? Most 22 year olds can’t afford a new car, let alone a Hellcat without a significant outside cash stream. Could be parents, could be drugs, could be legitimate.
Also, i don’t get the “authoritarian” part. What part of his comment was “authoritarian”?

gee.. this guy broke a law speeding, that totaly gives right to search his home.. Uh.............. No? Why would that ever even be a thought let a alone a response to this? he did something super dumb and illegal, he’s paying the price. but in what fucking world should that be warrant to search his home?
as for
“Also, i don’t get the “authoritarian” part. What part of his comment was “authoritarian”?”
Umm all of i
t?
Oh hey look this guy broke one law, that totally gives us right to completely invade his home and privacy... dude.. no..

In my younger and dumber days I did 140mph indicated on my FZ6, not sure how accurate the speedo was but it sure felt like 140 (i.e. I was too scared to push it further)

well, I would completely disagree. I also find your thought process here sickening and disgusting . He’s doing his time for his crime.

You’re an idiot. Obviously he was being facetious. The cops obviously couldn’t search his house because of reckless driving. The joke was that a 22 year old who can afford a modded Hellcat is a drug dealer, since the vast majority of 22 year old’s can’t afford that.

My old jetta had a short or some kind of electrical fault one time and before all the dash back lighting went out , I saw an indicated “miles”.

youve obviously never lost someone to street racing so ill give you a pass. but this dude, driving 180+ on a highway deserves an attempted murder charge for anyone else on the roadway at the time. and for that dig up everything you have on the fucker

Yep. 90% chance they’re slinging something on the side. Back in my day, I knew a guy who would steal shipments from warehouses and sell them online. This was like 2004-2007. He was driving a mint 1970s trans-am as a 16 year old that he paid for himself. And he always had the newest and greatest gadgets and stuff. Turns out the profit margins are big when you can sell something with no initial costs...
The guy with the new 5-series and the other guy with an E-class were the weed and coke dealers respectively.

My Cayman tops out at 162 mph, and that’s plenty fast. I enj oy track days, I can push the car (and my abilities) to the limit without endangering anyone or getting into trouble with the police.
